NEW PATTERN

HANDY BOX BAG

This is a terrific pattern for a very handy sized bag!!! 10 1/2" square - you'll be amazed what you can fit in this!!! Perfect for going to the craft show Smile!!! I've used 'bag weight batting' for this bag and as it's a little thicker than your normal batting this bag will stand alone, which makes it easier to pack with all those goodies that you've bought!!! AND it even folds down flat when you're not using it!! This design is available in the usual paper pattern FOR $12.50 (plus postage) mailed out to you or it's also available in PDF format for $10.50, which means I can email it to you within 24 hours of receiving your payment!!! It's cheaper that way AND you don't pay postage!!!!

ALSO AVAILABLE ON PDF...

DRAGONFLIGHT

I love this new quilt!! Once again I've been playing with jelly rolls and charm squares and this time I've made a Queen size quilt. This one uses one jelly roll and a pack of charm squares plus extra yardage for the sashings borders and binding. It's quilt-as-you-go so there's no struggling to quilt such a large quilt on your domestic sewing machine. It's great fun to make and I love the dragonflies flitting across the middle of the quilt!!! I'm having trouble downloading the pic to this page but you can see it by clicking HERE.

It's in the 'Quilts' section of my web-store for $14.50 plus postage.

While you're visiting pop and see the new pics on my 'Gallery" page. There are a couple of different versions of my Diamonds and Braids pattern on there now!! Diamonds and Braids is another quilt-as-you-go and is great fun to make Smile.

I'm so pleased to let you know that I've finally finished my "Pandamonium" pattern!! This is a gorgeous child's or baby's quilt measuring 42 1/2" x 55" when finished.

This quilt would be lovely on the wall or as a cot quilt  for your favourite little darling. There are 5 adorable pandas to applique - sleepy panda, butterfly panda, bamboo panda, peek-a-boo panda and a sitting panda - also there is bamboo appliqued on the top and bottom borders. All are easy to stitch as they are done as fusible applique and stitched with buttonhole/blanket stitch either by hand or on your sewing machine.

You can find "Pandamonium" listed under the "Quilts" section in the JoyPatch store for $15.50 plus postage.

Diamonds and Braids

I have VERY limited supplies of the Diamonds and Braids kit - they are listed under the "Quilts" section of the JoyPatch store.

 ALL SOLD NOW, SORRY

Well, I couldn't believe Spring had arrived ... and now here we are and it's almost the end of the year!!! Is it just me or has time really flown?? I hope you all got your Christmas presents made ready for the big day!! Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year and I'm really looking forward to spending lots of time with the family - we don't all get together nearly often enough and I so enjoy it when we do Smile.

I finally finished my new pattern ... after tossing a few ideas around I finally came up with the name "Old Fashioned Favourites" as I really think of aprons as something my Mum used to wear when I was little - although she NEVER answered the door wearing one LOL.

I love this set which includes the apron, oven mits, pot holder and cute journal/recipe book cover. All of these pieces are easy to make and would make lovely gifts either altogether as a set or individually. The fabrics I used for my samples was Charm Bracelet by Windham fabrics, don't you think they're so fresh and pretty?

Old Fashioned Favourites

This pattern will be available in the 'miscellaneous' section of the website store very soon for $12.50 but if you would like one you can just email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   with your name and postal address and I will send you an invoice for the pattern plus postage.

I hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas - take care ..... Wink

I can't believe it's Spring already!! I must admit it's a huge relief to say goodbye to Winter ... I'm not a fan of the cold!!! I'm so pleased that the warmer weather is well on it's way - time to start stitching your Christmas presents, and here's an idea for one Wink.

I'm still working on a couple of quilts for you but in the meantime I hope you like this bag I have just finished. Aren't these the sweetest, softest, pinky, rosy fabrics??? I just love them, so pretty - especially with the gorgeous ric rac braid and the cute lace motifs!!

This is my new bag pattern, I call it "Ric Rac and Roses" and I hope you like it. It's got a round base and it stands about 12 1/2" tall (without the handles). I've embellished it with my favourite braids and some hand dyed guipure lace motifs. There are 4 pockets around the outside of the bag each closed with a cute ceramic rose button, and yet another pocket inside for your bits and bobs, your mobile phone. and there's even a spot for your sunnies!!! The bag is finished off with delightful prairie points all the way around the top. You'd be amazed at how much you can fit in this bag ... great for carrying your latest project as you stitch on the run. This pattern will be in my online store shortly for $12.50. If you would like to purchase this pattern before it makes it into the store just email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with your name and postal address and I can invoice you for the pattern price plus postage. I'm doing my best to arrange some kits for this bag and will be sure to let you know the details when they become available.

15th August, 2008

This month I've been using up some bits and pieces from my scrap stash ... it's amazing what I found in there and I haven't even made a dint!!! But I did come up with two new patterns for you ... cushions this time. One with stitchery and applique and one with candlewick embroidery. I hope you like them!! Smile

Hearts and Flowers is an easy cushion to make - it's a good size cushion - great for on the bed - requiring an 18" insert. The centre of the cushion is candlewick embroidery decorated with tiny seed-beads.

In My Garden is another cushion but this time with a cute stitchery on the front. It's a little smaller than "Hearts and Flowers" as it only takes a 16" insert. This one is fabulous for using up the scraps as the first border is made up of lots of small squares and it has a sunflower appliqued in the corner (which isn't as fiddly as it looks Wink).
